Church 101: Simple Church

Be renewed and revived by the bible

Implant it in you heart

Thriving because of the basic conviction that you must live your life according to the word of the Lord

1. Devoted to a creed

2. Devoted themselves to a fellowship… Devoted to a tribe.

Demands us to get together to encourage one another to follow Jesus and follow him well.

Everyone is devoted to somebody.

God created us to be part of a community to thrive as a new being.

Don’t forsake the assembly… Make Sunday mornings a priority and small groups. Devote yourself to them.

The power to transform yourself in Christ through others.

Communion marked the assembly.

1. Everyone has a brand.

It’s a defining quality. These believers sought Jesus in everything that they did. Their lives were branded with the works of Jesus. Everything the did… Military, teaching, crocheting..? They did with the mark of Jesus

1. Devoted to worship. Devoted to the prayers

Everyone is a worshiper. What you praise is what captivates your heart.

Who do you lean upon when times are hard? That’s what you worship. Everyone is a worshiper.

What has captivated your heart? Determined your actions? What do you need to down grade in your life? Be a some worshiper of Jesus.

1. Devoted to a mission. They had things in common.

Your mission is tripped off by your sacrifices.

Whatever you’re giving up in your life there is a mission Feeding your sacrifice.

Everyone sacrifices something for something else.

Their mission was people. Loving people. Meeting physical and emotional needs but pointing them to a savoir that meets their ultimate needs.

Their good deeds paved the way for the Good News.

Don’t just do good things. Get in the news of Jesus.

Everyone is on a mission, but what mission.

A simple Church. Devoted to a creed, tribe, brand, worship and mission. Centered on Christ. Done one faith and repentance.
